JUBA, South Sudan — May 5, 2026 — The Wani Igga Foundation (WIF), in partnership with the Holistic Wellness Initiative South Sudan (HWISS), has successfully dispatched 54 metric tons of humanitarian food aid to Mayen Jur in Gogrial East County, Warrap State.
The mission, which received support from Spread Truth Africa (STA), underscores WIF's dedication to its motto of Advisory, Advocacy, and Charitable service. WIF is committed to empowering communities to overcome poverty and exclusion through focused efforts in education, leadership development, and peacebuilding.
Key Operational Details:
- Logistics: Two trucks loaded with 54 metric tons of nutritious food items departed Juba on 29th May 2026.
- Distribution Timeline: Distribution to the needy community in Mayen Jur is expected to commence early next week.
- Operational Oversight: According to WIF Acting CEO Joseph William Lado, humanitarian workers from Spread Truth Africa are expected to arrive in Juba by the weekend before proceeding to Gogrial East County to manage the distribution.
- Upcoming Operations: Additional aid is currently en route to Juba, intended for orphanage centers and the central prison in Central Equatoria State. This phase of distribution is slated to begin around 15th May 2026, in close collaboration with the State Ministry of Social Welfare.
