Strategic Announcement: Vision for a Developed South Sudan

High-Level Meeting on National Economic Transformation

The Republic of South Sudan is proud to announce a landmark strategic meeting between H.E. Prof. James Wani Igga, Vice President and Chair of the Economic Cluster, and Prof. Ripu Ranjan Sinha, Global Development Strategist and Consultant to the Office of the Vice President.

This historic dialogue, held at Hotel Vivanta, New Delhi, centers on the implementation of a comprehensive roadmap to transition South Sudan into a developed nation by 2030–2047.

The core of this vision is a revolutionary “Three-Economy” conversion strategy designed to ensure sustainable and inclusive growth:

  • Circular Economy: Establishing foundational resource efficiency and waste-to-wealth systems to reduce dependency on raw resource extraction.
  • Green Economy: Implementing the South Sudan Green and Industrial Revolution 2030, focusing on climate-smart agriculture, renewable energy, and environmental stewardship.
  • Orange Economy (The Creative & Knowledge Frontier): Leveraging Prof. Sinha’s expertise in Knowledge Management and ICT to build a “Scientific Temper” in the youth, turning creativity and innovation into a primary driver of national GDP.

  1. Digital Governance: Modernizing state infrastructure and operationalizing the South Sudan Official Gazette to foster transparency.
  2. Human Capital: Establishing the India-Africa Knowledge Consortium to provide advanced technical education and vocational training for South Sudanese youth.
  3. Investment Attraction: Creating a stable regulatory environment to attract global “Green and Industrial” investment under the leadership of the Economic Cluster.
  4. Peace Through Prosperity: Anchoring the roadmap in the “Red-Green Movement,” which utilizes technology (Red) and sustainable development (Green) to ensure lasting regional peace.

“Without the nourishment of an innovative culture, developing countries cannot gain ‘developed’ status.” — Prof. Ripu Ranjan Sinha
